About myself
Xinhui Huang is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Maine. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Texas A&M International University (AACSB-accredited), an MBA in Finance from Lawrence Technological University, and a Bachelor of Economics from Liaoning Technical University.
Xinhui’s research focuses on corporate finance, financial accounting, and economic policy analysis, with particular interest in how firms respond to policy uncertainty, regulatory pressure, and environmental challenges. He has an extensive publication record in prestigious journals, such as Finance Research Letters, Applied Economics, Global Finance Journal, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, and China Accounting and Finance Review.
In the classroom, Xinhui integrates theory with practice using real-world cases, Excel modeling, and policy-relevant discussions. Students consistently praise his “enthusiasm,” “helpful and informative lectures,” and his ability to “make complex topics more understandable through real-life examples.” Many note that “Dr. Huang genuinely cares about students’ success and adapts based on feedback.”
